Periodic examinations must be carried out by an
authorised and trained technician in strict compliance
with periodic examination procedures.
The following points must be examined:
1. Presence and legibility of marking on the product,
2. Presence of all screws, washers and nuts on the
product,
3. Proper tightening of each screw,
4. Presence and condition of all rods and pins,
5. No deformation, cracking, impact or oxidation,
6. Free rotation of the mast in a base,
7. Free opening and closing of the boom,
8. Free movement of the anchoring head,
9. Proper locking in the folded position,
10. Free rotation of all pulleys around their axis,
11. Presence of the retaining stop on the anchoring
head,
12. Presence of the retaining stop on the rotating ring,
13. On a self-stabilising base, inspect the condition of
the 4 screw levelling mechanisms.
The result of these inspections must be recorded in the
inspection register located at the centre of this manual,
which must be kept throughout the life of the product,
until its disposal.
The technician must also complete lines A to E of the
table with the following information:
A: Name of inspector
B: Date of inspection
C: Inspection result OK/NOK
D: Signature of inspector
E: date of next inspection
After arresting a fall, this product must necessarily
undergo a periodic inspection as described in this
article.

12. Service life

manufacturing date providing that they:

instructions in this manual.
• undergo periodic inspections, performed at least
once a year by an approved and trained technician.
On completion of the periodic inspection, the PPE
must be certified in writing as fit to be returned to
service.
• are stored and transported in strict compliance with
the conditions stated in this manual.
• As a general rule, subject to the conditions for use
stated above, their service life may exceed 10 years.

13. Disposal

When disposing of the product, all components
must be recycled after first separating into metal and
synthetic materials. These materials must be recycled
by specialist bodies. During disposal, dismantling into
separate components is to be carried out by trained
individuals.
