17. For safety reasons, never place the appliance on hot surfaces, a
metal tray or a wet surface.
18. Do not place the appliance or power cord near open flames dur-
ing operation.
19. Do not use any multiple socket outlet for the electrical connec-
tion of the appliance – fire hazard. If you use an extension cord,
make sure that it is intact and suitable for the power draw of the
appliance; otherwise, there is a possibility of overheating.
20. Do not use the appliance on an electrical outlet without circuit
breaker. If in doubt, have a specialist check the household elec-
trical connection.
21. Always use the appliance on a level, uncluttered and heat-resist-
ant surface.
22. Ensure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of the
counter top or table, since this can cause accidents, for example
if small children pull on the cord.
23. Route the power cord so that there is no possibility of the cord
being pulled or tripped over.
24. To unplug the appliance, always pull on the plug, never on the
power cord.
25. Never use the power cord to carry the base.
26. Only use the appliance indoors.
27. Never use the appliance in the vicinity of flammable materials,
such as Curtains, moreover do not use the appliance in the oven
or the microwave.
28. Make sure that the lid of the appliance is always completely
closed, to prevent injuries from hot splashing water.
29. Avoid overfilling the container.
30. Only use the steam function to steam food.
31. To prevent damage never operate the appliance without having
filled it with sufficient water.
32. Make sure that all users, especially children, are aware of the
danger of injury from emerging steam or hot splashing water –
danger of burns!
33. The surface of the lid becomes hot during operation. Conse-
quently, use pot holders if necessary.
