15.2.3.4 Grounding
Grounding requirements for the SmartPSUk2 is the same as
for the PSk2 controller.
The housing of the SmartPSUk2 has to be connected to the
housing of PSk2 with proper grounding cable of at least 10
mm². Using outer ground terminals is the best way to con-
nect both devices.
If the source (generator/grid) provides a ground cable it
is highly recommended to connect it to the SmartPSUk2
on provided ground terminal inside or outside the hous-
ing. Even if a seperate grounding rod is used, connect the
ground of the source.
For more information please refer to "8.6 Grounding" on
page 33.

15.2.4 Operation of the SmartPSUk2

Due to its operation the SmartPSUk2 draws a non-sinusoidal
current (harmonic currents) from the supply source, this
slightly increases the maximum current value compared to
pure sinusoidal currents.
If you connect the SmartPSUk2 to an oversized generator
or a strong grid the SmartPSUk2 can draw a maximum
rms-current of up to 70 A per phase when supplying a PSk2-
40 at full power. All components of the installation have to
be sized according to this maximum current value.
If you are connected to a public grid where there are re-
quirements concerning maximum Harmonic Distortions, you
might need to install filters at the input of the SmartPSUk2
to fulfill local standards requirements.

15.2.5 Parameter Setting and Configuration

LORENTZ SmartSolution is programmed by using PumpScan-
ner. Please refer to the PumpScanner manual and knowl-
edge base articles on partnerNET for details.
