15.2.3.2 Cable entries and external sockets
There are cable glands and plug sockets in the bottom of
the SmartPSUk2. The socket for the remote PSk2 connection
is pre-wired and pre-assembled in the SmartPSUk2 hous-
ing. Cables of accessories which are fed through the cable
glands have to be fixed tightly in the glands for strain re-
lief and sealing.
The left two cable glands are designed to take the DC out
cables. The connection socket for the SmartPSUk2 to PSk2 is
located on the bottom.
The centre two cable glands are designed for the DC input
from the PV array.
The right large cable gland is designed for 3 phase AC input
from the grid or a generator.

The values in the table are for ambient temperatures of up
to 35 °C. If you expect higher temperatures, use next larg-
er cable size.
Ensure all terminals are tightened, a torque of 4-5 Nm is
recommended.
All screw terminals should be tightened when any system
maintained is carried out as they can become loose as the
copper cables relax, expand and contract.
Do not use cable ferrules with the screw connections.
