15.2.3 Electrical installation

The wiring must be done by qualified service personnel. If lo-
cal standards require circuit breakers or fuses between grid
and SmartPSUk2, the design has to be adapted according to
these standards. Lorentz recomments installing adquate dis-
connection and protection devices.
BEWARE OF HIGH VOLTAGE!
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD!
Before starting to work on the electrical system make sure
that all components are disconnected from both AC and
DC power sources. If the system has previously been pow-
ered, then wait 10 minutes after power disconnection be-
fore working on the equipment. The SmartPSUk2 needs time
to discharge its internal capacitors.
Only switch on the system when all work has been finished.
WARNING – All electrical connections

only! Unqualified handling might lead to
shock, burns, or death.
WARNING – The SmartPSUk2 should only
be connected to power after correct
wiring or the SmartPSUk2 might get
damaged.
WARNING – Do not modify any connec-
tions while the system is connected to
power to avoid electrocution.
WARNING – TEST THE VOLTAGE before
connecting power to the SmartPSUk2.

15.2.3.1 Terminal description

The SmartPSUk2 uses screw terminals.These are the same
type of screw terminals used in the PSk2 controller – refer
to "8.5.1 Sensor terminal type" on page 25.
The terminals are designed to accept the following cable siz-
es:

Connect proper ground to the yellow-green wire of the AC
cable. Connect AC power to AC IN phases L1, L2, L3. As
there is always a balanced load on the three phases, a neu-
tral connection is obsolete.
