6.
Complete steps indicated in the "Pre-Use Inspection" section of this document prior to introducing device into
the patient.
7.
Device is packaged with torque handle in place. Slide torque handle to desired location and rotate torque
handle cap to lock.
8.
Place rings over the atheromatous core. Under fluoroscopic guidance, begin dissection by moving the device
distally into the vessel. Slowly advance the device distally until the endpoint of atheromatous core is reached.
Note: The torque handle may be repositioned as the device is advanced. To do so, loosen the torque
handle cap, reposition, and tighten torque handle cap to lock in desired position.
Note: A heavily calcified atheromatous core may require the use of the Martin Dissector. In the event that
use of the Martin Dissector is required, remove MultiTASC Device and refer to the Instructions for Use
accompanying the Martin Dissector.
9.
When the endpoint of the atheromatous core is reached, loosen the torque handle cap completely and slide
torque handle until entirely disengaged from the torque handle cap. Remove the torque handle from the
shaft. Slide torque handle cap to retainer and tighten to secure.
10.
Remove hub cap from proximal end of the shaft by rotating the hub cap.
Note: Do not rotate the hub or shaft while removing hub cap.
11.
Verify that the actuator handle is in "Position 1" and slide over the hub into the mating slots.
