The age setting is used for calculating and monitoring the
maximum pulse rate (symbol H1, acoustic alarm if
activated).
• Enter values with "Plus" or "Minus" (e.g. 34).
Using the formula 220 – age, a maximum pulse of
186 is calculated.

Target-pulse input

The setting 40-200 is for fixing and monitoring the pulse
rate during exercising in relation to age (Symbol HI, acou-
stic signal if activated, no maximum-pulse monitoring). For
this, the maximum pulse setting must be at "Off".
• De-select maximum-pulse monitoring with "Plus" or
"Minus" Display: "Max OFF"
