Maintenance
The device does not need any special maintenance.
Dirt and deposits can be removed from the device by
washing it with cold water. A sponge can be used for wi-
ping if necessary.
NOTICE
Abrasive cleaning implements (brushes etc.), cleaning
agents and cleaning solvents can destroy the dust and
water filter.
Carefully dab dry the device using a cloth.

available on CD. The Instructions for Use/data sheets for the sensors

2) The device responds to most combustible gases and vapors. The
sensitivities differ depending on the type of gas. We recommend a cali-
bration using the target gas to be measured. For the range
of alkanes, the sensitivity decreases from methane to nonane.
Servicing
The device should be inspected and maintained annually
by suitably qualified persons (consult: EN 60079-29-2 –
Gas measuring device - Selection, installation, use and
maintenance of apparatus for the measurement of combu-
stible gases or oxygen, EN 45544-4 – Electrical apparatus
used for the direct detection and direct concentration
measurement of toxic gases and vapours - Part 4: Guide
for selection, installation, use and maintenance and natio-
nal regulations). We recommend that you calibrate the
channels after 6 months.

Disposing of the device

EU-wide regulations on the disposal of electrical and
electronic devices as defined in the EU directive
2002/96/EL and national laws pertaining to this de-
vice were adopted in August 2005.
Special collection and recycling possibilities will be provi-
ded for private households. Since this device is not regi-
stered for use in private households, it must not be
disposed of with private household waste. The device can
be returned for disposal to your national Dräger Safety
sales organization, which will be pleased to answer any
questions you may have relating to disposal.
