Replacing the lens
Masks with metal lens frame: Unscrew the screws, steadying the hexagon
nuts.
Masks with plastic lens frame: Remove the screws. Prise lens frame apart
at the connecting points using a screwdriver, then pull it off to the top and
bottom
If required, remove connector clamp as well as sliding ring and support-
ing plate.
Detach the old lens from its rubber frame.
Insert the new lens first in the upper and then in the lower part of the
rubber frame.
Centre marks on lens must line up with seam in faceblank.
Pull the rubber frame over the edge of the lens on the right and left.
Moisten the outside of the rubber frame and the inside of the lens frame
with soap solution.
Press first the upper clamping frame and then the lower clamping frame
into place.
Fit the sliding ring and new connector clamp, if required. Hook in the
hook in such a way that the connector clamp sits as tight as possible.
If required, slide the support plate between the connector clamp and the
sliding ring, clamp to the bottom lens frame and align.
Masks with metal lens frame: Screw the screws into the hexagonal nuts
and tighten until the gap between the tightening cams is 3 to 0.5 mm.
Masks with plastic lens frame: Insert screws and tighten.
Replacing the valve discs at the control valves of the nose cup
Pull out the old valve discs towards the inside.
Insert the studs of the new discs into the hole from the inside, and pull
them towards the lens until the undercut of the stud is visible.
The valve discs should make even contact with the inside surface.
Replacing the screw ring with integrated speech diaphragm
Pull the inner mask out of the
groove of the screw ring with
integrated speech diaphragm.
Unscrew the screw ring with inte-
grated speech diaphragm using
pin wrench R 26 817.
Remove the O-ring from the
mask connection using seal
extractor R 21 402.
Examine the O-ring and replace
if necessary.
Moisten the new O-ring with soapy water and insert it.
Screw in the screw ring with integrated speech diaphragm and tighten it
into place with pin wrench R 26 817.
NOTICE
Ensure that the edge of the inner mask is fully inserted in the groove of
the screw ring with integrated speech diaphragm and that it encloses the
screw ring and speech diaphragm completely. The centre marks on the
mask connector and inner mask must be lined up.
Replacing the exhalation valve disc
Remove protective cap from mask connector.
Pull valve disc out.
Valve disc and seat must be clean and undamaged, otherwise clean or
replace.
Moisten valve disc with water and insert.
Replace protective cap and ensure that it engages.
Replacing the Inhalation Valve Disc
Pull the inhalation valve out by its tab.
Remove old valve disc, attach new valve disc.
Press the inhalation valve into the mask connector until it makes contact
all around. The valve disc must not be squeezed, the disc points inwards,
the ridges point to the outside.
Storage
Loosen the straps as far as they will go.
Wipe lens with an antistatic cloth.
Pack full-face mask in its bag or mask box.
Store undistorted, dry and dust-free.

Keep out of direct sunlight and heat.
Observe ISO 2230 "Rubber Products - Guidelines for Storage" and
national regulations for storage, maintenance and cleaning of rubber
products.

tions which apply to Germany. Observe the national regulations.
