This man ual lists only the daily en gine main te nance
tasks. Fol low the en gine's op er at ing man ual and
the warn ings and in ter vals shown therein.
7.2

Fuel sys tem

7.2.1 Fuel
Dan ger of mo tor dam age from low qual ity fuel.
The use of fuel that does not meet the spec i fi ca tions
can lead to mo tor dam age.
The use of fuel that does not meet spec i fi ca tions re -
quires ap proval by Motorenfabrik HATZ (main
plant).

All types of die sel fuel that meet the min i mum re quire ments of
the fol low ing spec i fi ca tions are suit able:

Eu rope: EN 590
•
UK: BS 2869 A1 / A2
•
USA: ASTM D 975-09a 1-D S15 oder 2-D S15
7.2.2 Win ter fuel
When out side tem per a tures drop be low 0°C / 32°F, use win ter
fuel or mix in pe tro leum in ad vance:
