  • Page 4 INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY WARNING Make all connections by following the electrical diagram accompanying the valve actuator. Ensure that all wires linking the actuator to the valve are well connected. Also check that connectors are correctly situated. Make certain that under no circumstances is there water in the electric actuator. Should the intended usage be other than that stipulated here, some adjustments and additional technical regulations may be necessary OPERATION WARNING Before starting up the motorised valve, check the protection equipment calibration in the control box, which should be correctly and securely positioned.

    1 VALVE INSTALLATION 1.1 VERICATION OF VALVE TYPE On opening the packaging check that the valve is the model you ordered. Check that the actuator model corresponds with the code number ordered. Make especially sure that the voltage indicated on the actuator label corresponds to that of your mains supply (actuators do no incorporate valves, meaning that incorrect voltage will cause irreparable damage to the apparatus.

    4.2.1 J+J actuator connection J2 electric actuators operate with the use of live electricity. It is recommended that only qualified electrical engineers be allowed to connect or adjust these actuators. Under normal circumstances it should not be necessary to remove the actuator’s cover as the rotation is accurately set at the factory, and all electrical connections are external.

    4.2.1 Collegamento dell’attuatore J+J Gli attuatori J+J serie J2 sono alimentati con energia elettrica.     4.5 SAFETY BLOCK 4.5.1 J+J ACTUATORS SPECIFICATIONS The Safety Block is an automatism which, when connected to the J2 series electrical actuators, allows the valve to be positioned in a preferential position that is normally closed or normally open (N.C. or N.O.) in the event of a cut in the power supply. CONCEPT Inside the box are batteries which are kept under charge through the 1-2 or 1-3 connections (see electrical diagram) and which act in the event of a cut in the power supply.
