Battery safety information

WARNING
!
Risk of explosion or fire! Do not remove or insert batteries in a potentially explosive or
combustible atmosphere.
Risk of explosion, fire or chemical hazard! Keep batteries away from sources of heat.
Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (disposable batteries). Do not
short circuit.
Using batteries not of the recommended types may cause an explosion. Only use the
recommended types of battery.

The system
The Dräger CMS (Chip Measurement System) consists of the analyzer and gas-specific chips.
For further information regarding gas-specific chips, refer to the operating instructions of the
chip to be used.
The Dräger CMS analyzer is equipped with an integrated DataRecorder for storing and
displaying the measured values.

Intended use

Dräger CMS is designed for short-term measurement of various hazardous gases and vapours
in ambient air.
Up to ten measurements can be performed with each chip.
Do not introduce anything other than the chip into the analyzer!
This could damage the analyzer.

Certificates / Approvals

Improper substitution of components will void all approvals concerning explosion protection.
This also applies if batteries other than those recommended here are used. Note footnote on
page 63. See page 63 for details on approvals.
