Power economy circuit
Your watch is provided with a power economy circuit.
If you do not wear your watch for a long period, the life
of the battery can be extended by pulling the crown
to position 2. Before wearing the watch again, you must
set the new time and date.
Battery condition and battery replacement
The watch indicates that the battery is run down by 4-
second jumps of the small seconds hand. Under normal
circumstances, this will occur after wearing the watch
for about three years. You should then have a new battery
fitted within the next two to three days by an approved
IWC Official Agent. In the case of a permanently operat-
ing chronograph, the battery life will be reduced to
about one year.
Water-resistance
Your IWC Official Agent must carry out a new water-
resistance test every time your IWC watch is opened and
serviced.
Recommendation: We recommend that you have
your watch's water-resistance tested once a year by an
approved IWC Official Agent.
Service for your Small Da Vinci
All the parts in this watch are manufactured from top-
quality materials. Nevertheless, a number of parts are
subject to natural wear and tear. It is particularly im-
portant to ensure that points at which wear occurs are
always optimally lubricated and that contamination
of the oil caused by metal-to-metal abrasion is regularly
removed. This is why we recommend that you have a
maintenance service carried out on your watch about
every five years. Please contact an approved IWC Official
Agent or send your watch directly to the IWC Customer
Service Department in Schaffhausen.
