Operating note: To set your watch precisely, you can
also respond to a time signal for which you were not
prepared. For example, the time announcement on the
radio or television. To do this, you should proceed
as follows:
• Start the chronograph when the time signal sounds.
• Stop the time display by pulling the crown to position
2, when the small seconds hand reaches 60.
• Now set the time display at rest; perhaps one or two
minutes ahead of the time of the time signal.
• When the chronograph display and the preset time
signal coincide (passage through zero by the centre
seconds hand), push the crown to position 0. This will
start the time display, and you will have transferred
the exact time, stored in the chronograph movement,
to the watch movement.
Operating the chronograph
• Start: Start the chronograph by pressing the start-stop
button.
• Stop: Stop the chronograph by pressing the start-stop
button again.
• Resetting: Press the reset button. This will cause all
the chronograph hands to fly back to the zero position.
• Aggregate time recording: You can add the stop
times together by pressing the start-stop button again,
instead of the reset button, after taking the first
measurement.
• Seconds counter: The graduation for the central
seconds stop hand is situated at the edge of the dial.
• Minutes counter: The 30-minute graduation with a
slow jumping hand is situated at 9.00 on the measure-
ment indicator. This hand makes two complete
revolutions in one hour.
• Hours counter: The 12-hour graduation with a con-
tinuous hand is situated at 3.00 on the measurement
indicator.
Warning: To keep the power consumption by the watch
movement as low as possible, and to extend the service
life of the battery at the same time, the chronograph
hands should not run permanently. They should only be
set in motion in conjunction with time measurement.
The small seconds hand at 6.00 tells you whether your
movement is working.
