General Information for Sensor Installation:
In case of a tandem chassis the sensor is
mounted at the front axle.
The arrow on the sensor must always
point exactly to driving direction to
ensure perfect operation of the iDC.
Installation E - Status-LED
E-1 at a ZAF-2 with Cover
The LED console can be used for marking of
the bore. Drill a hole of a diameter of 12 to 13
mm into the cover for the LED.
Insert the LED through the cover and screw it
down to the LED console. After that the LED
console can be fastened to the cover using
two screws 2,9x25 (fig. E1 and E2).
E-2 at a ZAF-2 without Cover
As shown in fig. E3, the LED is inserted into
the console and it is screwed down tightly.
As shown in fig. E4, the fastening screw of the
overrun device is screwed down to the LED
support.
Use new lock nuts for installation and
tighten them with a torque of 92 Nm.
Installation F - Special
Cases
Installation at a ZAF-2 with cover, which
does not comply with an original BPW
cover
It might happen, that covers, which do not
comply with the original BPW cover collide
with the central unit. In those cases an original
BPW cover is to be used.
