1. Product Description
What is the iDC?
iDC is an auxiliary brake system, which is
acting on an existing overrun brake system of
a
recognising danger situations (skidding of the
caravan), by intentionally reducing or by
avoiding increased skidding. This is effected
by deliberately pulling the brake linkage of the
caravan. The driver of the vehicle remains fully
responsible.
The iDC is equipped with a failsafe function. In
case of failure, such as power failure during
operation, the iDC will be returned to home
position. Thus, overheating of the brakes will
be avoided. In case of failure, the status LED
changes from green to a flashing mode, which
is indicating the failure. Also refer to chapter
"A-2 LED Flashing Code".
