23. Check that the hoses are connected correctly to the tool and that the hydraulic couplings lock as intended before applying
pressure to the hydraulic system. The couplings are locked by turning the outer sleeve on the female coupling so that the
slot moves away from the ball.
The pressure hoses in the system must always be connected to the tool's intake. The return hoses in the system must
always be connected to the tool's outlet. Confusing the connections can cause the tool to work in reverse, which can cause
personal injury.
Do not connect tools with a closed centre to a hydraulic system with an open centre. This can cause extreme heat in the
system and/or serious personal injury.
24. Keep the hydraulic couplings free from dirt.
25. Always switch off the hydraulic power unit's main switch before moving the equipment.
26. Check that the hydraulic hoses are not damaged and cannot become damaged during the course of the work. Leakage can
lead to the risk of slipping.
27. Make sure that there is always another person close at hand when you use the machines, so that you can call for help if an
accident should occur.
28. Do not use machines if they do not function as they should.
29. Never alter the safety devices. Check regularly that they function as they should. The machines must not be operated with
defective safety devices, or without safety devices fitted.
30. Regulations for the prevention of accidents, and other general safety and occupational health regulations, must always be
followed.
31. Make sure that you always have a first-aid kit close at hand when using the machines.
32. Make sure to keep your hands and feet away from rotating parts.
33. Keep all parts in good working order and ensure that all fixtures are properly tightened. Replace worn or damaged decals.
34. Store the machines in a locked area, where they are inaccessible to children and adults who have not been trained to
operate the machines.
35. Pay attention to the risk of fire from sparks and heat. If there are no local fire protection regulations for cutting or grinding
machines, follow the regulations for welding.
WARNING!
Always use approved protective clothing and approved protective equipment when you use the
machines. Protective clothing and protective equipment cannot eliminate accident risks, but by
using the right clothes and equipment you can reduce the seriousness if an accident should
occur. Ask your dealer what approved protective clothing and protective equipment is
recommended.
