1. Connect a three-phase mains cable of capacity 50 A
from a three-phase mains isolator of 50 A with fuse /
MCB as a protective device.
2. Route the mains cable through the protective gland
located at the bottom of the control cabinet to the
main switch.
3. Connect the mains supply to the main switch termi-
nals as follows:
$
L1 to terminal 1 on main switch.
$
L2 to terminal 3 on main switch.
$
L3 to terminal 5 on main switch.
$
Power earth to system power earth (earthing link)
at the bottom of the control cabinet.

Ensure that the system ground is connected to the
power earth terminal of the incoming 3-phase supply
via a 10 mm
green / yellow earth cable.

Ensure that the conduit, which connects to the main
supply bus bars is properly grounded.
4. Conduct a Megger test to check if the earthing is OK.
5. Check the primary voltage of the control trans-
former. The primary terminal connections should be
modified as per the measured primary voltage.

Observe the label pasted on the test oil motor to
find the correct direction of rotation. If the direction
of rotation is incorrect, switch off the master switch
and the mains supply. Interchange any two phases at
the mains and ensure that the motor runs in correct
direction.

Connection of additional power supply

Heed this Section if an additional multiple socket
outlet is required for the 230 V AC power supply.

We recommend using a multiple socket outlet with
internal fuse protection.
Danger - risk of fire from inexpert use of
multiple socket outlet
Diesel fuel or ISO 4113 test oil in the mul-
tiple socket outlet could ignite and cause a
fire.
Keep the multiple socket outlet well
away from diesel fuel or ISO 4113 test
oil.

1. Remove the connector from the power cord of the
multiple socket outlet.
2. Switch off the EPS 625.
3. Open the switch cabinet.

4. Remove the dummy plug (Fig. 18, Pos. 1). Keep the
hexagon nut (Fig. 18, Pos. 2) safe.
5. Insert the cable gland (part of scope of delivery of
EPS 625) in the bushing.
6. Secure the cable gland with the hexagon nut
(Fig. 18, Pos. 2).
7. Pull the connecting cable of the multiple socket out-
let through the cable gland.

Make sure the connected cable is not twisted or
strained.
