Chain Brake
Your chain saw is equipped with a CHAIN BRAKE that
reduces possibility of injury due to kickback. The brake is
activated if pressure is applied against brake lever when,
as in the event of kickback, operator's hand strikes the
lever. When the brake is actuated, chain movement stops
abruptly.
The purpose of the chain brake is to reduce the
possibility of injury due to kickback; however, it
cannot provide the intended measure of protec-
tion if the saw is operated carelessly.
Always test the chain brake before using your
saw and periodically while on the job.
3.5.1
Chain Brake Mechanical Test with the En-
gine Switched off
1.
The chain brake is DISENGAGED (chain can move)
when BRAKE LEVER IS PULLED BACK AND
LOCKED to the front handle.
2.
The chain brake is ENGAGED (chain is locked)
when brake lever is in forward position. You should
not be able to move chain.
3.5.2
Chain Brake Test when the Engine is Run-
ning
Before you start any work, always test the functionality
when the engine is running.
1.
Depress the safety cover of the hand to the front.
(Saw chain is blocked).
2.
Start the engine and loosen the throttle to the maxi-
mum for a while (max. 3 seconds). The saw chain
must not move.
Never run the saw when the chain brake is acti-
vated (blocked) because it can cause huge
damage to the unit quickly.

3.6.1
The chain saw has 2-cycle engine and it demands to use
a mixture of petrol mixed with special blend 2-cycle en-
gine oil at a 40:1 ratio for best results.
Petrol: regular grade unleaded petrol
(min. octane number 90)

3.6.3
Fuel can be stored for a limited time period only. Fuel
and mixtures get old. Old fuel mixture can cause prob-
lems during starting the saw. Mix only as much of the
mixture as you need for following 4 weeks.
3.6.4
To enable sufficient oil lubrication of the saw chain, there
must be sufficient amount of oil in the tank.
To oil the chain saw and guide bar, use only ecological,
biologically degradable oil for saw chains, eventually oil
for saw chains on the basis of mineral oils (ISO VG 100).

Mixing Fuel
Always mix petrol and 2-cycle engine oil only in

designated
Mix the whole amount of oil with a half amount of
petrol.
Then add the rest pf the petrol and mix everything
properly.
Shake the mixture properly before filling it into
the chain saw.
Fuel Storage
Saw Chain Oil
Whenever filling the fuel mixture to the tank,
replenish the oil for saw chains, as well.
Oils for saw chains stick when not being used
for longer time. This can cause damage to oil
pump or parts leading the oil.
