Safety Precautions
1.1
General Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully. Be familiar with
the proper use of the unit.
Keep the operating instructions for any further use or
another owner.
Follow all warnings and safety instructions on the unit.
1.1.1
User
Children and teens under the age of 16 must not use the
unit and all persons who are not familiar with the operat-
ing instructions with the exception of apprentices older
than 16 years under skilled supervision.
Persons under influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine as
well as persons who are not familiar with the operating
instructions must not use the unit.
1.1.2
Personal Protective Equipment
To avoid any injury to head or extremities, as well as any
damage to sense of hearing, it is necessary to wear rec-
ommended clothing and protective equipment.
The clothing must be close-fitting and it must not limit
your movement. If you have longer hair, wear hairnet
unconditionally.
Personal protective equipment includes:
Protective helmet,
Hearing defenders (e.g. protective earflaps),
Protective glasses or face defender on the protective
helmet,
Protective trousers with the protective filling in the
crotch,
Firm work gloves,
Safety shoes with non-slippery sole and steal shoe
top.
1.1.3
Working Area
There must not be any other persons in the operating
area. Beware of children and of animals as well.
The user of the unit is responsible for any accidents
caused to other persons and damages to their property.
Remove all cut off parts and other objects – d a n g e r
o f s t u m b l e.
1.1.4
Operating Time Lines
Observe operating time lines according to the lawn mow-
ing regulations (noise protection) specific for all countries.
Always use the unit in daylight or in good artificial light.
1.1.5
Operating
Operate the unit only after its complete assembly.
Inspect the unit's appearance before operating it. The
unit must be in safe working condition.
Immediately replace parts that are cracked or chipped.
Operate the unit only in the technical condition as author-
ized by the producer.
Never remove any safety and protective devices of the
unit.

Always keep the unit in safe condition.
Before you start any work, replace possible foreign ob-
jects from the cut object, which will avoid kickbacks.
The chainsaw is not permitted to be operated using one
hand. Single-handed operation can result in serious inju-
ries to the operator and nearby persons. The chainsaw is
intended for two-handed operation.
Always hold the chain saw in both hands – hold the rear
handle with the right hand, the front handle with the left
hand. Never use the chain saw above your shoulder
level, because the manipulation is not safe on this level.
Only operate the chainsaw in well-ventilated areas.
Keep the handles dry, clean and free of oil or fuel mix-
ture.
Always carry and move the chain saw with the chain
stopped.
When transporting your chain saw, make sure the appro-
priate guide bar cover is in place and the engine is
stopped.
Always carry the chain saw by the rear handle with the
muffler away from your body directed to the back.
During all maintenance works, such as chain saw re-
placement or transport of the unit, always stop the en-
gine.
If you do not use the unit, always cover the chain saw
with the guide bar cover.
Wear gloves and keep your hand warm. Longer use of
chainsaws can result in white-finger-illness for the opera-
tor. If any white-finger-illness symptoms should occur,
contact a physician.
1.1.6
Propellants and oil for saw chains must be carried and
stored only in the containers which are allowed for this
purpose and signed.
Add fuel outdoors only. Do not smoke when fuelling!
Never open the cap of the fuel tank, or add fuel, while the
engine is running or the unit is hot.
Always use a funnel or a filling pipe for adding fuel to
avoid the spilling of the fuel onto the engine, the cover ort
he ground.
If the fuel overflows the engine must not be started. The
unit is necessary to be cleaned. In no case the unit is
allowed to be started until the petrol vapours disperse.
Move the chain saw at least 3 m from the fuelling point
before starting the engine.

To operate a chain saw for woodcutting of trees
and cutting of branches, you need rich experi-
ence – operate the unit only under the assis-
tance of professionally skilled staff.

Petrol is highly flammable!
Exhaust pipe and parts close to it may be very
hot – danger of burning.
Never run the internal-combustion engine inside
a closed room – intoxication risk!
