For best results, avoid using rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries provide a
lower voltage (rechargeable battery = 1.2 V, conventional battery = 1.5 V) and have a lower
capacity, resulting in a shorter battery life. If you do wish to use rechargeable batteries,
ensure that you use special NiMH rechargeable batteries with a low self-discharge. For
safety reasons and to ensure a longer battery life, we recommend that you use alkaline
batteries from a reputable manufacturer
b) Using the power adapter
• Connect the power adapter cable to the low voltage power-in socket (18) on the back of the weather
station.
• All display symbols will appear briefly on the LCD display. You will hear a short beep, indicating

less sensitive to cold weather). Alkaline batteries are sufficient for other climates.
Replace the batteries when the symbol is displayed on the weather station.
• Open the battery compartment cover (D) on the back of the outdoor sensor.
• Insert two AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, ensuring that you pay attention
to the polarity markings (plus/+ and minus/-).
• All display symbols will appear on the LCD display. The outdoor sensor is now ready to use. It will
send weather data to the weather station for approximately 5 seconds and then start to search for
a DCF signal.
• Replace the battery compartment cover.
Insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor after setting up the weather station. The weather
