Vehicle Settings When Carrying Loads
If the total load approaches 639.3 Ib. (290 kg), including weight of operator, passenger, cargo, accessories
and trailer Towing Hitch Weight:
•
Inflate the tires to maximum pressure: Front: 16 PSI ( 1 10 kPa ) , rear : 18 PSI ( 1 24 kPa ) .
•
Readjust the suspension coil spring pre-load accordingly.
•
Operate with the shift lever in L ( l ow gear ) when carrying heavy loads in the cargo box and/or pulling a
trailer.
Load Distribution
Your vehicle has been designed to carry or tow a certain amount of load. Always:
•
Read and understand the load distribution warnings listed on the warning labels.
•
Never exceed the specified weights.
•
Cargo weight should be mounted as low as possible.
•
When operating over rough or hilly terrain with loads or towing, reduce speed and cargo to maintain
stable driving conditions.
Pulling or Towing
Your vehicle is equipped with a hitch receptacle and winch for towing or pulling.
Pulling a Load
•
Never pull a load by attaching it to the cage. This can cause the vehicle to tip over. Use only the trailer
hitch or winch ( i f installed ) to pull a load.
•
When pulling loads with a chain or cable, ensure that there is no slack before starting and maintain
tension while pulling.
