• The battery needs to be recharged at least every 3 months when not in use in order to avoid a deep discharge.
• Only use approved models when replacing the battery pack (also see "9.5 Replacement of parts").
DANGER
Short circuits, explosions and fire caused by the battery or charger can lead to serious injuries!
• Batteries must not be subjected to mechanical impacts.
• Do not open the battery or the charger. Otherwise, there is the risk of a short circuit.
• Keep the battery away from heat (and out of permanent sunlight) and fire and never drop it into water.
• Do not store or operate the battery near hot or inflammable objects.
• Keep the battery and charger away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other metal items when not in use
to prevent shorting exposed battery contacts.
DANGER
Improper charging of the battery can lead to serious injuries!
Improper charging may cause the battery or other inflammable materials nearby to catch fire.
• Only use the original charger.
• Switch off the e-bike before connecting or disconnecting the charger.
• The contacts of the charger connection as well as the charger must be clean and dry before connecting the charger.
• The bike must not be moved during charging.

• Never use a charger if you suspect or know it is defective.
• When the charger connection is not in use, it must be covered with the dust cover.
• The charger or battery must not be kept near inflammable materials while charging.
• The charger must not be covered, e.g. with a cloth, during charging.
• Only charge the battery when dry.
• Do not leave the battery unattended while charging it.
• The surrounding temperature during charging may not be below 0°C or above +40°C.
• Ideally, there should be a smoke detector nearby to detect possible smoke development at an early stage.
• If the battery is not fully charged even 2 hours after the specified charging time, unplug it from the socket and
contact the point of purchase.
• It is not recommended to connect the battery to the charger permanently.
