9.8.3 The installation and removal of the combustion chamber should easily be possible.
(To enable general cleaning and the exchange of the heating coil.)
9.8.4 The perforated air intake side of the ventilator housing may not be covered;
otherwise the lack of air leads to extreme CO-values.
9.8.5 In closed areas one has to make sure that sufficient additional ventilation is available. The heat emission of
pumps, motors, transformers and the combustion chamber hat to be removed by the appropriate ventilator devices.
9.9 Electrical connection.
The electrical connection should be carried out by a well trained professional. A cable with at least 3x1² has to be used,
which has to be connected to the mains either in a manner of electrical bonding or by means of an admissible plug. The
fuse protection must have 16 A.
Furthermore one has to make sure, that the neutral conductor and the phase will not be mixed up. If the machine goes
into a malfunction immediately after the first starting, turn the mains plug by 180° or exchange the poles (in case of
electrical bonding).
9.10 Discharge of perspiration water.
The combustion of natural gas causes a considerable amount of perspiration water – under unfavourable conditions up to
10 kg/h. The perspiration water has to be lead into the drain channel via the corresponding discharge nipple located at the
lower side of the machine, by means of a heat resistant hose, together with the waste water of the high pressure cleaner.
Attention – Stopping up leads to severe malfunctions of the burner!
9.11 Gas connection.
The gas supply has to be carried out by a licensed installation company.
9.11.1 Types of gas and properties
The following types of gas are admissible for the burner:
Average value of heating
capacity, approx.
Boiling point
Your gas supplier will inform you about the available type of gas, its heating capacity, its supply pressure and the maximum
CO2 – value of the exhaust gases.
9.11.2 Natural gas
The factory adjusts the burner to natural gas L with a capacity of approximately 65 KW.
The use of another type of gas (natural gas H or liquefied gas) urgently requires a new adjustment.
That means: Before taking into operation the burner, the gas supplier has to be asked the existing type of
gas. If the type of gas is not natural gas L, the burner must urgently be readjusted.
It is the installation company, responsible for the installation or the modification of the gas units, which has to inform
the gas supply company about the way and the extent of the planned unit and the intended proceedings before the
beginning of the works.
Except the gas supply company, only those installation companies are allowed to carry out modifications and
maintenance works of the gas units in buildings and on estates, which have a contract with the gas supply company.
The admission pressure in the gas tube should be between 20 and 100 mbar. The pressure reducer inside the gas
valve ("Multiblock") reduces the gas pressure automatically to the required level.
The cross section of the gas tube depends on the following facts:
-The capacity of the burner and thus the necessary volume flow.
-The admission pressure in the gas tube.
- The length of the feeder tube and the number of angles and bends.
The pressure drop and diameter of the tube- Ø can be determined with the diagram page 14.
While the burner is running the pressure of the tube may not drop below 10 mbar.
