Pull the spreader down to the shroud turnbuck-
les on the right and left.
Now make the backstay. The lower end of the
backstay is made from rubber cord part 217.
The rubber cord should enable the outwards
swinging boom to press the backstay to the
side.
Start again at the mast above the spreader
with steel rope part 169 and run the steel rope
up to 10 cm above the deck. Then tie in a
block part 163.

Hang the second block part 164 into the eye-
bolt part 158. Then tie in the rubber cord as
shown in the photo and place on the cleat.

Next bring the guy of the mast forwards.
First, fasten the forestay from the top of the
mast to the yardarm of the jib with steel cord
item 169.

Fit a tensioner part 148 on the yardarm of the
jib boom.
