This tapering (splicing) produces a bigger
sticking surface than when sticking on a blunt
surface.
Glue the bars together and press them to-
gether with clips to stick.
Before gluing the coaming on, sand in the re-
cesses for the chain plates, (affixing the
shrouds). The positions of the chain plates can
be seen in the diagram (see section 9 pages
28 et seqq.)
Start at the prow and stick on the coaming
with super glue. Cut off the protruding edge at
the stern.
Now apply super glue from below into the edge
/ joint and so glue the skirting board onto the
hull and deck.
8. Superstructures
Next, put together the removable superstruc-
tures.
First, stick adhesive tape on to the coamings to
protect them so that the parts do not stick on to
the coaming. Also stick adhesive tape on to the
deck.
Start with parts 62 to 68.
Updated June 2016
Stick together the base frame using parts 62,
63 and 64.
To glue the parts together, apply adhesive at
the edges and clip together around the coam-
ing. This produces an accurate fit.
Thanks to the adhesive tape, the assembly
frame will not stick onto the coaming and can
be carefully removed.
