❐ Attention! Fire hazard! When placing the cover on the base, fold
up the carrying handle so that the device is no longer able to heat
up.
❐ Attention! Fire hazard! Do not place flammable materials such as
cardboard, paper or plastic in, on or underneath the device.
❐ Attention! Scalding hazard! Keep the cover away from your body when
removing it in order to avoid being scalded by the hot steam.
❐ Attention! Burn hazard! The metal parts of the device become
very hot. Use pot holders or the tongs included when inserting or removing
food.

Danger of electrocution

❐ Do not use the device if parts are missing or if the device is damaged.
❐ Ensure that there is no risk of the device falling into water or getting wet.
❐ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket (230 V~/50 Hz), preferably
one featuring an error protection switch (FI).
❐ Prior to start-up, please check whether the voltage specified on the device cor-
responds to the grid voltage of your house and that the socket has been sufficiently
guarded.
❐ Protect the mains cord from heat, oil, and sharp edges. Immediately replace a dam-
aged cord with an original mains cord. For this, please contact the customer service
(see section "Customer Service").
❐ Always pull on the plug itself, never on the mains cord, in order to disconnect the
mains plug from the socket.
❐ Never carry the device by the mains cord. The mains cord could sustain damage
and/or tear as a result. The device could fall and sustain damage.
❐ Prior to each use, check the device for visible damages to its parts.
❐ In order to avoid electrical shocks, never use the device in the vicinity of water.
The mains cord may not be submerged in water or other liquids. Do not kink or
catch the mains cord on anything. Never allow the mains cord to hang over the
edge of a table or a desktop in order to prevent a tripping hazard.
❐ When disconnecting the plug, never pull on the cord, but only on the plug itself.
