Danger of Injury

■ CAUTION: Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children
and animals.
■ CAUTION: Danger of injury! The blades of the cutting inserts and graters are sharp.
Handle them with care to prevent any cut injuries.
■ The article is not a toy! Do not leave children and animals unsupervised with the
article. They could injure themselves on among other things the blades of the cut-
ting inserts.
■ Never chop up fairly small foods (e.g. lemons, tomatoes) or the ends of fairly large
foods (e.g. of cucumbers) without using the fi nger guard!
For Your Health
■ There may still be some production residues on the article. To avoid harmful effects
to your health, clean the article thoroughly before you fi rst use it (see the "Cleaning
and Storage" chapter).
■ Clean the article immediately after each use to prevent germ formation (see the
"Cleaning and Storage" chapter).
The Proper Handling of the Article
■ Always place the article on a dry, fl at, stable and non-slip surface.
■ Make sure prior to each use that the article is correctly assembled, is not damaged
and is in good working order.
■ If the article is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event of any dam-
age, contact our customer service department.
■ Use only the accessories supplied, or accessories expressly recommended by the
manufacturer.
■ Maintain a suffi cient distance from heat sources such as hobs or ovens in order not
to damage the article.
■ To ensure stability, you should always hold the article fi rmly with one hand during
use.
■ Make sure that the salad bowl does not tip over. Even if the lid is fi rmly closed, liquid
(e.g. salad dressing) may escape!
■ Do not drop the article or allow it to be knocked violently.
■ Do not expose the article to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations
or direct sunlight.
■ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the
article. These could damage the surface of the article.
