Using the Salad Spinner
6. You can now transfer the salad from the salad basket into the salad bowl and attach
the cutting lid with the different inserts in order to add further ingredients.
Using the Cutting Lid and Cutting Inserts
13
1. Place your salad into the salad basket and wash it
thoroughly.
2. Allow the salad to drip off slightly before you place the
salad basket into the bowl.
3. Place the spinner lid on the bowl.
4. Hold the lid fi rmly with one hand and turn it using the
crank handle to spin the salad. The faster you turn, the
better the salad will dry.
5. Open the spinner lid when you have fi nished spinning and
pour away the water.
1. Wash the food which is to be chopped up and peel it
if necessary. The cutting lid is divided up into three
sections: On the sides there is a coarse metal grater and
a very fi ne grater (e.g. for hard cheese), and in the middle
four different cutting inserts can be inserted (for cutting
slices, cutting sticks, coarse grating and fi ne grating).
Insert a cutting insert of your choice into the cutting lid by
inserting the cutting insert with the two small holders fi rst
into the cutting lid (see the markings on the picture) and
then pressing down the insert until it is heard to engage.
For more information about the cutting inserts, please
also read the "Items Supplied and Article Overview"
chapter, "Cutting Accessories" section.
2. Place the cutting lid onto the salad bowl.
3. Place the food that you want to chop up onto the fi nger
guard and slide the food evenly over a cutter or grater of
your choice.
4. The food which is chopped up is collected directly in the
salad bowl.
5. Clean the article after each use in the manner described
in the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter.
