11.2 Additional cleaning and care instructions for the TIMAX module
The following instructions should be observed in addition to the general
cleaning and care instructions in section 11.
Only use damp cloths to wipe down the TIMAX module! The TIMAX
module must not be washed in the dishwasher and must never be
cleaned using abrasive or sharp cleaning materials such as knives,
steel wool, Scotch Brite or copper cloths.
Always remove the TIMAX module before cleaning the lid.
11.2.1 Changing the battery / Preparing the TIMAX module for use
1. Remove the TIMAX module from the lid and dry the module.
2. Open the battery compartment lid by inserting a coin and turning in the
direction of the arrow.
3. Insert new battery as shown in Diag. 11C (check: +pole visible, otherwise the
TIMAX will not function!).
4. Replace the battery compartment lid, insert a coin and turn in a clockwise
direction as far as it will go.

5. Function check: the above display (Diag. 11D) must be immediately visible for
a few seconds after the battery has been inserted.
If no display appears after pressing the Start button once, check that the
battery has been inserted correctly.
Check:
Blue rubber seal must fit tightly against the
lid, all the way around, on the outside and
inside of the lid.
Spring must be visible on the inside of the lid.
