TIPS FOR PERFECT COFFEE ENJOYMENT

1.
Make sure that your coffeemaker
is clean and descaled at all times.
(see chapter Cleaning and desca-
ling).
2.
Keep coffee beans and ground
coffee in a tightly closed can and
store in a cool, dark place, but not
in the refrigerator.
3.
For optimal coffee enjoyment we
recommend grinding the coffee
beans right before use.

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE THE FIRST TIME

Before brewing coffee for the first time, please run one or two brewing cycles
with water only to remove any residue from the manufacturing process. We also
recommend running one brewing cycle without coffee if the appliance has not
been in use for an extended period.
1.
Remove all packaging materials
and any transport safety devices.
2.
Check to make sure that all acces-
sories are present.
3.
Clean all parts with a damp
cloth, as described in the chapter
"Cleaning and care".
4.
Check to make sure that all parts
are assembled correctly and the
appliance is stable.
5.
Connect the appliance via the
power cord to the power supply
(230 V~, 50 Hz).
6.
Open the lid of the appliance.
7.
Fill the water tank with clear, cold
water to the "Max" marking. Ple-
ase note that the water tank has
a small hole at the top, for safety
reasons. The water tank cannot

Coffee tastes best freshly brewed.
If coffee is kept warm too long, it
can become bitter.

Tip: If you rinse out the pot with hot
water before brewing coffee, the
coffee will be kept warm for a lon-
ger time.

plete, switch the appliance off by
pressing the "EIN/AUS" button
two times consecutively. If you do
