3.10.1 "LOCO ADDRESS"
In this submenu, the touch user interface can be assigned a specific loco address (only in the
"GO" smartRail status).
Value range: 1 – 9999
Confirm with the
3.10.2 "SENSITIVITY"
This menu item allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the touch keys and the slider.
Options: "TOUCH" or "SLIDER".
Value range for "TOUCH": 0 – 100 %
Value range for "SLIDER": 0 – 100 %
Confirm with the OK-key. You will then be returned to the initial "SENSITIVITY" level.
3.10.3 "SPEED"
This menu item allows you to adjust the minimum and maximum speed of the conveyor to suit
your model.
Options: "MINIMUM" or "MAXIMUM".
Value range for "MINIMUM": 1 – (default maximum setting + MAXIMUM – 1) %
Value range for "MAXIMUM": (default minimum setting + MINIMUM + 1) – 100 %
Confirm with the OK-key. You will then be returned to the initial "SPEED" level.
3.10.4 "SCAN MODE":
Starting with smartRail firmware V1.14, the locomotive scan mode can be adapted to your in-
dividual needs, which usually makes the scanning process a bit faster.
Options: "2 + 3–RAIL <AUTO>", "ONLY 3–RAIL", "ONLY 2–RAIL <AUTO>", "DCC 2–RAIL" or
"PWM 2–RAIL".
To select an option, use the arrow keys.
"2 + 3–RAIL <AUTO>": the smartRail attempts to identify digital 2-rail locos (DCC), digital
3-rail locos (MM II and DCC) and analogue 2-rail locos (PWM) automatically.
"3–RAIL ONLY": the scanning process for 2-rail locos is skipped.
"ONLY 2–RAIL <AUTO>": The scanning process for digital 3-rail locos is skipped. The smartRail
attempts to identify whether a digital or analogue 2-rail loco is present.
"DCC 2–RAIL": the scanning process for digital 3-rail locos and analogue 2-rail locos is skipped.
"PWM 2–RAIL": after measuring the loco length, the system switches immediately to the mode
for analogue 2-rail locos.
Confirm with the OK-key. You will then be returned to the initial "SCAN MODE" level.
3.10.5 "PWM HIGH FREQUENCY"
Analogue locos are controlled on the smartRail using low frequency pulse width modulation
(PWM), which is necessary due to the anti-interference capacitors installed in the analogue
locos. Depending on the model and manufacturer, these capacitors may be of different sizes
and can result in excessive power consumption and heating at high frequencies. However,
low-frequency PWM is not suitable for coreless motors (e.g. from Faulhaber, Maxon, ...). This
option allows you to switch to high-frequency pulse width modulation in order to also operate
your high-quality models equipped with coreless motors on the smartRail.
Options: "ON" or "OFF."
To select an option, use the arrow keys.
Confirm with the OK-key. You will then be returned to the initial "PWM HIGH FREQUENCY"
level.
3.10.6 "SNOW BLOWER FUNCTIONS"
smartRail firmware V1.15 and later versions include this option, which adds special functions to
the touch function keys F0 and F4 if the Roco Beilhack snow blower is detected:

A short press of the F0 key activates the normal front lights as usual. A long press of
