3.9.5 "PROG–VOLTAGE"
You can set the programming voltage for the programming track here. Please note that the output
programming voltage cannot be higher than the voltage from the power supply being used.
Value range: 12.0 – 24.0 V, resolution: 0.5 V
For example: "16.5V".
Confirm with the OK-key. You will then be returned to the initial "PROG–VOLTAGE" level.
Note: If the connected control unit is a z21, z21start or a smartRail, this menu item does not appear.
3.9.6 "SHORT-CIRCUIT DETECTION"
With this option you can set the speed at with which your control unit's short-circuit detection
function for the main track connection should respond in case of a short circuit.
Options: "NORMAL" or "FAST".
To select an option, use the arrow keys.
"NORMAL": the short-circuit detection speed is set to the minimum value of 20.
"FAST": the short-circuit detection speed is set to the maximum value of 255.
Confirm with the OK-key. You will then be returned to the initial "SHORT-CIRCUIT DETECTION"
level.
3.9.7 "SHORT LOCO ADDRESSES FROM"
This option can be used to set the address range in which "short addresses" are generated for
DCC locos on the track output.
Options: "1– 99" or "1–127".
To select an option, use the arrow keys.
"1 – 99": for locos with addresses from 1 to 99, DCC packets with short addresses are gener-
ated; from address 100, DCC packets with long addresses are generated.
"1–127": for locos with addresses from 1 to 127, DCC packets with short addresses are gener-
ated; from address 128, DCC packets with long addresses are generated.
Confirm with the OK-key. You will then be returned to the initial "SHORT
LOCO ADDRESSES FROM" level.
Note: If the connected control unit is a smartRail, this menu item does not appear.
3.9.8 "TURNOUT-ADDRESSING"
This option can be used to correct incompatibilities relating to the numbering of turnout and
signal addresses. Roco starts the numbering of turnout and signal addresses from Module 0
(with 4 turnouts each); other control unit manufacturers only start from Module 1.
Options: "ROCO" or "RCN–213".
To select an option, use the arrow keys.
"ROCO": DCC turnout-addressing according to Roco (RCN-213 addressing – 4).
"RCN–213": DCC turnout-addressing according to RCN-213 (Roco addressing + 4).
Confirm with the OK-key. You will then be returned to the initial "TURNOUT-ADDRESSING" level.
Note: If the connected control unit is a smartRail, this menu item does not appear.

"SMARTRAIL"
When connected to a smartRail, this additional submenu is generated for various smartRail settings.
Note: If the smartRail is not recognised or a product from a third-party manufacturer is used,
this submenu does not appear.
