Displaying temperature results:
1. Measurement range: 32°C - 42.9°C (89.6°F - 109.2°F)
2. HI is displayed for a result above 42.9°C (109.2°F).
3. LO is displayed for a result below 32°C (89.6°F).
Automatic shutdown of the back-lighting after 8 ~ 15 seconds.

11- DATA STORAGE

Open the battery compartment to access the settings buttons.
Press the MEM button, the LCD screen reads
temperature reading.

2. Hit the MEM button to scroll through the previous data, then hit the
°C/°F to scroll through the next data.
Note : When changing batteries, the stored data will be erased.

12- BATTERY REPLACEMENT

When the screen reads , the batteries are drained.
Remove the battery compartment cover and replace the old battery,
taking care to respect the polarity.
The LCD screen will display all the symbols on the screen.
Use only new batteries (1 x CR2032 button battery), never use rechar-
geable batteries. Do not mix an old battery with a new battery.
Replace the cover after inserting the battery.
IMPORTANT : Respect the polarity of the batteries. A polarity
error can cause damage and void the warranty of your unit.

13- UPKEEP, STORAGE, AND CALIBRATION

UPKEEP:
1. Remove any spots on the case with a soft, dry cloth.
2. Clean the probe tip as follows: wipe the surface very gently with a
buffer, a soft cloth lightly moistened with 70% surgical spirit; you can
use the thermometer once the alcohol has completely evaporated.
3. Do not immerse the unit in any liquid whatsoever.
4. When dirty, gently clean the IR sensor with a soft, dry cloth.
Do not clean the infrared sensor with tissue or paper towel that may scratch it, which
could lead to inaccurate results.
STORAGE:
1. Do not expose the thermometer to sunlight, high temperatures, or
under conditions of high humidity, dust, near fire; do not subject it to
vibrations or direct impacts.
2. Remove the batteries from the housing if you do not plan to use the
unit over a long period.
CALIBRATION:
This thermometer is pre-configured at the factory. If the operating
instructions are followed, a re-calibration is not necessary. If you have
doubts about the accuracy of temperature readings, please contact your
retailer.
Do not disassemble the thermometer yourself - this will void your
warranty.

14- BREAKDOWNS AND REPAIRS

- No response: Check the battery (polarity, wear)
- The battery symbol appears: Change the batteries. Check battery
polarity during insertion. A polarity error can damage your unit.
- The symbol symbol appears: Wrong measurement
- Lo appears on screen (result below 32°C or 89.6°F): Is the thermometer
placed properly against the temple or in the ear? Follow the instruc-
tions in the user manual regarding the application of the probe accor-
ding to the different measurement modes.
- Hi appears on screen (result above 42.9°C or 109.2°F): Please check
the procedure. Follow the instructions in the operating manual to take
readings properly.
