Chapter 6. Troubleshooting
Problems
The pump stops.
Red ALARM LED lights up.
The roller pump heads do not
rotate.
There is no irrigation.
The irrigation pump starts
spinning excessively, emitting a
loud noise.

Potential Causes
The HIGH PRESSURE safety
has activated.
The LOW PRESSURE safety
has activated: "Pres. L" blinks.
The hydrophobic filter is wet.
There is no more irrigation fluid.
The power is on "O" or is on
Stop.
The stop-cock on the sheath
or a clamp is closed, stopping
outflow.
There is no more irrigation fluid.

Possible Solutions

Lower the joint pressure.
Press the Run/Stop pad to restart
the pump.
Verify that the luer-lock is tightly
closed.
Press the Fill Chamber to stop
the alarm, and press the Run/
Stop pad to restart the pump.
Replace the One Day Set
Irrigation Tube. If problem
persists, contact DePuy Mitek
Customer Service.
Spike the bag and press the Fill
Chamber pad.
Check that the main power switch
on the back of the pump is on the
"I" position, and that the Run/Stop
pad green light is on.
Check the inflow line from the
bags to the joint. Open any
closed clamps or stop-cocks.
Replace the saline solution bags
and/or check the clamps under
the bags.
Press Fill Chamber if chamber is
lower than 1/3.
