Ignition time-out
If no arc appears within 5 seconds, the power source cuts out automatically. The
function
"no|IGn" error message appears on the control panel.
"E55" is displayed on the JobMaster TIG torch.
To make another attempt to achieve ignition, press the torch trigger again.
To acknowledge the "no|IGn" message:

Tacking function

For details of how to adjust the set-up parameter "tAC", please refer to the section
headed "The set-up menu" - sub-section "TIG set-up parameters".
As soon as a value is set for tAC (tacking) in the "Set-up menu", the operating modes "2-
step mode" and "4-step mode" have the tacking function assigned to them. The opera-
ting sequence of each of these modes remains unchanged (see "TIG operating modes").
Important! The tacking function is only available for the TIG-DC welding process.
A time period can be set for the tAC set-up parameter. During this period, there is a
pulsed welding current that makes the weld pool run together better when two parts are
being tack-joined.
Important! The diagram below illustrates the tacking function in cases where the DC
welding process has been selected.
