DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT AND USE

3.1
Technical and operational characteristics
The pumps described in this manual have one or more hydraulically balanced centrifugal impellers installed in series, with clockwise rotation
direction viewed from the shaft projecting side (see arrow on delivery casing). The delivery port is radial and vertical while the suction port is
radial and points towards the right in relation to the shaft projection. The pumps have a shaft carried by grease lubricated rolling bearings and
can be connected to an electric motor or internal combustion engine by means of a coupling or transmission shaft.
Where possible, specially outfitted pumps can be supplied on request:
- with suction port pointing upwards (...L...);
- with suction port pointing towards the left (...M...);
- with mechanical seal (...T...);
- with shaft projection on the delivery side (anticlockwise rotation)(...A...);
- with double shaft projection (...D...);
- with bronze impellers and stainless steel keys (...H...);
- with impellers, diffusers, wear rings in bronze and keys in stainless steel (...H1...).
Consult the specific technical documentation for further information.
When the product is installed according to the instructions given in this manual and in compliance with the diagrams, the acoustic pressure level
issued by the machine reaches the approximate values indicated in dB(A) in the tables in chapter 10 "Dimensions, weights and technical data".
In particular:
- noise measurement was conducted in compliance with ISO 3746;
- according to Directive 98/37/EEC, the gauging points were 1 meter from the reference surface of the machine and 1.6 meters from ground or
access platform level;
- the tolerance on the values is
- the pump values were gauged from the maximum delivery point;
- the indications given in the EUROPUMP guide were complied with when estimating the aerial noise issued by the centrifugal pumps;
- the electric motor values were gauged during idle operation (or: - the electric motor values are those declared by the manufacturer).
Binding noise values will be supplied on order if requested.
