Instructions for use and safety information for the pressure
vessel should be adhered to strictly.
5. Finishing and polishing
Orthocryl
acrylics can be finished and polished with the usual
®
mills and polishers. Protective equipment (face and eye protection)
should be worn.
6. Avoiding residual monomer and the
biocompatibility of Orthocryl
To reduce the amount of residual monomer, place the finished
appliance – if possible – in water for three days before being used
by the patient. This will reduce the amount of residual monomers to
similar values as for heat-curing acrylic. If this step is not possible,
advise the patient to place the appliance in water whenever it is
not being worn.
Orthocryl
acrylics have undergone scientific testing. Information on
®
scientific testing and a detailed brochure of the entire Orthocryl
product range with many practical tips on processing is available
on request.
7. Information on cleaning and desinfection
Orthocryl
acrylics can be cleaned with a tooth brush and tooth
®
paste. Please refer also to "Oral hygiene during orthodontic
treatment", REF 989-328-20.
