After approx. 30 seconds, carefully blow away separating medium
residues or droplets with compressed air and, if necessary, remove
residues from screws and wire retentions with a dry brush.
Application of the acrylic can then start immediately using the
salt-and-pepper technique (3.3) or the doughing technique (3.4).
3.1.2 Application
(REF 162-801-00) on plastic models
To fabricate dental models, we recommend using high quality
plastic models that were made using DLP (Digital Light Processing).

accurate and therefore ensuring very precise fitting, these models
allow for the usual process in the laboratory.
Due to the large variety of materials for model printing, it is essential
to test the suitability of the 3D separating medium before its use.
Apply the 3D separating medium evenly with a brush over the
entire model before the expansion screw (or screws) and wire
elements are finally fixed in place and allow the separating
medium to dry thoroughly. To this end, apply the separating
medium from the dosing bottle (REF 162-100-00) directly on the
model and spread evenly using a brush.
Stand the model on its back so that excess fluid can drain away.
Allow the layer of separating medium to dry throroughly.
Repeat the process in order to achieve an even separating layer
everywhere.
If required, block out undercuts in the tooth / jaw area and fix
the expansion screw(s) and wire elements as usual on the dried
plastic model.
Application of the acrylic can then start immediately using the
salt-and-pepper technique (3.3) or the doughing technique (3.4).
