Causes of damage

Rough pot and pan bases scratch the cooktop.
Never leave cookware cooking empty. This can cause
damage.
Do not place hot pots or pans on the control panel,
the displays or the cooktop surround. This can cause
damage.
Damage can occur if hard or pointed objects fall on
the cooktop.
Aluminum foil and plastic containers can melt and
stick on hot burners. The use of oven protective foil on
the cooktop is not recommended.
