Operating instructions
For centrally cooled models:
1. Stop production with button B.
2. Remove front metal sheet and cover.
3. Drain off all the water from the freezing unit (going automatically).
4. Rinse freezing unit with warm water.
5. Wear safety goggles and safety gloves.
6. Provide decalcification mixture in a flask.
7. Push the cleaning button (red button besides the PLC).
8. The message "Reiniger einfüllen" is shown on the display.
9. Fill in the provided cleaning mixture slowly from above into the water bath.
10. The message "Reinigungsprogramm läuft" is shown on the display.
11. Wait until the cleaning program is done (many times of rinsing and emptying).
DO NOT SWITCH OFF THE MACHINE DURING THE CLEANING PROGRAM!
12. Repeat in case of strong lime deposits.
13. After end of cleaning program the message "Start = Taste A
Stop = Taste B" appears in display.
14. Cleaning process is finished.
15. Start machine with button A.
WARNING: After about 10-15 minutes of production time after the cleaning the ice in the storage bin has to be
removed, as this ice may contain residues of cleaning agents (cleaner) and is not fit for human consumption.

7.2 Cleaning the storage container

1. Stop production with button B.
2. Remove any ice remaining in the storage container. Ice intended for consumption must not come into
contact with the detergent!
3. Remove the metal plate inserts for draining the condensation water from the storage container.
4. Thoroughly spray the storage container and the metal plate inserts with WESSAMAT special cleaner and
allow a few minutes for the cleaner to act.
5. Rinse the storage container and the metal plate inserts with clear water in order to remove the special
cleaner and dissolved deposits. Neutralise the remaining special cleaner residues with soap water. A
sponge or cloth may be used for this purpose.
6. Place the metal plate inserts into the storage container.
7. Start machine with button A.

7.3 Cleaning of intermediate storage and ice transport cart

1. Stop production with button B.
2. Remove any ice remaining in the intermediate storage and the ice transport cart. Ice intended for
consumption must not come into contact with the detergent!
3. Thoroughly spray the intermediate storage as well as the ice transport cart with WESSAMAT special
cleaner and allow a few minutes for the cleaner to act.
4. Rinse the intermediate storage and the ice transport cart with clear water in order to remove the special
cleaner and dissolved deposits. Neutralise the remaining special cleaner residues with soap water. A
sponge or cloth may be used for this purpose.
5. Start machine with button A.
CAUTION: Almost all cleaners contain acids which can cause corrosion. Therefore, all stainless steel parts that
have been treated with cleaner must be rinsed thoroughly.
