Operating instructions

7.4 Cleaning the condenser fins (air-cooled units only)

1. Stop production with button B.
2. Remove front metal sheet of casing.
3. Remove filter pad, beat out main dirt and wash out probable
fat deposits with fat-dissolving cleaner, then rinse pad with
warm water. Blow dry with pressurized air or pat dry with a
cloth. If heavily soiled, please replace the entire filter mat.
4. Loosen dirt particles, dust and fluff that may have deposited
on the condenser fins using a brush with coarse bristles (not a
metal brush!). For persistent deposits on the fins, use
compressed air. Then use a vacuum cleaner to remove the
dust.
5. Spray grease deposits (particularly when the machine is
located in kitchen areas) with a fat-dissolving cleaning solution, allow some time to act, then rinse with
warm water (ensure that cleaning solution or water do not come into contact with electrical components).
Blow-dry the condenser fins with compressed air (if very wet) or rub dry with a cloth.
6. Re-attach filter pad.
7. Re-attach front metal sheet.
8. Start machine with button A.
If you have any further questions regarding cleaning, please contact your specialist dealer or the WESSAMAT
service department.

7.5 Maintenance

Regularly (approx. once a month) check the water supply tubes and water drain tubes for leaks and adequate
slope.
For water-cooled machines, the cooling water controller should be checked regularly for proper function,
because failure of the cooling water controller to close or close fully will lead to increased water consumption
and therefore higher operating costs. The condensation temperature should be 30°C. With the machine
switched off, no water should emerge from the cooling water drain tube. Built-in machines may have to be
removed for this purpose.
During reinstallation, prevent bending or kinking of the drain tubes, so that the water can drain freely!
Other maintenance work should only be carried out by authorised WESSAMAT service technician or
service staff from authorised specialised dealers!
The frequency of maintenance depends on the place of installation and the water quality (e.g. water hardness,
contaminants etc.). Maintenance schedules therefore have to be determined individually and can either be
agreed jointly or recommended by your specialist dealer.
The cleaning intervals of the PLC can be adjusted by the WESSAMAT service technician ort he local engineer
according to the local conditions. The factory setting of the cleaning interval is 180 days of production.
