5.3 Installation water-cooled units

Water-cooled ice cube makers can be installed without taking into account the minimum distances and without
provision for air circulation. However there should be distance to the wall from the back side of the machine in
order to have enough space for the connection tubes (see Fig. 5.3.a and 5.3.b).
CAUTION: When the device is pushed back in, the water drain tubes may become bent or kinked, thus
preventing draining of the water. Please keep an eye on the tubes during re-assembly.
5.3.1 Connect one of the two enclosed inlet hoses (DN 8; ¾"– fitting) with water inlet (1) and water tap (fresh
water inlet / cold water).
Connect the other enclosed inlet hose (DN 8; ¾"–fitting) with cooling water flow (2) and cold water inlet.
5.3.2 Fix one of the two enclosed drain hoses (DN 20) on the residual water
drain (4) and run it to the wastewater system. Ensure that the tube has a
continuous gradient and no bends. Without adequate gradient of the drain
tube, the ice cube maker may overflow and cause water damage.
Fix the other enclosed drain hose (DN 20) on the defrost water drain (6) and
run it to the wastewater system. Ensure that the tube has a continuous
gradient and no bends. Without adequate gradient of the drain tube, the
storage container may overflow and cause water damage. Run the defrost
water drain (7) to the wastewater system.
5.3.3 Fix the enclosed ¾"-fitting and the drain hose (DN 10; for M800 DN 20)
to the cooling water reflux (3) and run it to the wastewater system. Ensure that
the tube has a continuous gradient and no bends.
WARNING: For hygienic reasons, the outlet hoses must not be connected
directly to the waste water system (see Fig. 5.3.c).
We recommend the installation of a floor drain with a floor grate.
5.3.4 Insert the power plug (5) into the socket.
