Application
•
Ensure that the punch is in the "punching" position. If required, correct the position by rotating the
handle (2).
•
Hold the punch by the handle area.
•
Perform a small incision at the desired location.
•
Push the punching head through the incision.
•
Pull on the handle (2) for punching.
•
The punch opens while the tension becomes weaker. The punching head (1) reappears.

After Completion of the Application
•
Properly put down the instruments and feed them into reprocessing, see section 5 "Processing",
page 26.

Processing
Instruments must be cleaned, disinfected and sterilized before the first and before any further use.
Danger of infection due to non-sterile handling!
The operator/product user is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing the used instruments. It
is essential that national regulations and restrictions be observed.
•
Observe the applicable national rules regarding the reprocessing of the products in case of patients
with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), suspected CJD or any variants thereof.
•
Note that successful reprocessing of this medical device can be guaranteed only after prior validation
of the reprocessing process. The responsibility for this lies with the operator/reprocessor. The
recommended chemicals were used for validation.
