Clothing and Equipment

Long hair can be sucked into the hedge trimmer during
operation. This can result in serious injuries.
Tie up and confine long hair so that it cannot be sucked
into the hedge trimmer.
Objects can be thrown at high speed during operation. This can
result in personal injury.
Wear safety glasses. Suitable glasses that
have been tested and labeled in accordance
with EN 166 or national standards are
available from retailers.
Wear a long-sleeved upper garment and long trousers.
Dust can be whipped up when working in a dusty work area.
Whipped up dust can damage the respiratory passages and
cause allergic reactions.
Wear a respirator.

Work Area and Surroundings

4.5.1 Hedge Trimmer

work area.
