Carefully read and comply with the procedure for recharging
described in the Battery chapter on page 23. If the procedure
is not followed or the battery is not charged, irreparable
damage could be caused to the elements inside the battery.
GB
A flat battery must be recharged as soon as possible.
Recharging must be done using the special maintenance
battery charger supplied, which must be connected to the
corresponding red (+) and black (-) terminals on the battery.
For use follow the instructions given in the Battery charger
chapter on page 23.
Major servicing
It is advisable to have the machine inspected by a specialist
technician at an Authorised Service Centre at the end of each
season, if used intensively, or every two years in the case of
normal use.

7.4 Interventions On The Machine

Changing wheels
WARNING: Periodically check the condition and
pressure of the tyres; tyres that are in poor condition
or inflated to an incorrect pressure may affect the
machine's weight distribution.
Stop the machine on a flat surface and put blocks under a load-
bearing part of the frame on the side of the wheel to be changed.
The wheels are held by a snap ring (A, Fig.20) protected by a cover
(B), which can both be eased off with a screwdriver.
NOTE: If you have to replace one or both rear wheels, make
sure that any differences in their external diameter does not
exceed 8-10 mm.
Before remounting a wheel, apply grease to the axle. Carefully
refit the snap ring (A) and supporting washer (C). When refitting
the rear wheel ensure you also refit spacer (E) and washer (D).
WARNING: Incorrect fitting of the snap ring may cause
the wheel to come off while the machine is moving.
Repairing or replacing tyres
The tyres have inflatable inner tubes:
- front 11"x4.00"-4
- rear 15"x6.00"-6
All replacements or repairs following a puncture must be
carried out by a specialist tyre repair company.
Replacing a fuse
The machine has three fuses (G fig. 3) with different ratings, the
functions and specifications of which are as follows:
- 5 A fuse that protects the main and power circuits of the
electronic circuit board. When it blows, the machine stops
and the dashboard light switches off.
- 15 A fuse that protects the battery charger circuit. When it
blows, the battery gradually runs out and the machine will
have problems starting.
- 100A fuse protecting the starter motor; if this fuse blows the
engine cannot be started.
The fuse capacity is indicated on the fuse.
A blown fuse must always be replaced by one of the same type
and ampere rating, never one of a different rating.
If you cannot find the cause of the fuse blowout, contact an
Authorised Service Centre.
The fuses are housed under the cover (C); for removal and
refitting the cover see Connecting the battery on page 23.
Cutter assembly
The cutting deck should be properly set to obtain an evenly cut
lawn and reduce vibrations.
If the cut is uneven, check the tyre pressure.

Blade
WARNING
- Always wear work gloves to check the condition of the
blade.
- A damaged or bent blade must always be replaced. Never
repair a damaged blade by welding, straightening or
modifying it. This may cause the blade to come off and
result in serious or fatal injuries.
- Always use original marked blades (Fig.21).
- Check periodically that the bolt is tightened to 35 Nm (3.5
kgm).
If the grass mowing becomes unsatisfactory as time goes by,
the blade probably needs to be sharpened. A badly sharpened
blade pulls out the grass and causes the lawn to turn yellow.
- Sharpening the blade is a very delicate operation. If its
perfect balance is not taken into consideration, it can lead to
abnormal vibrations that cause the blade to become loose,
with consequent danger for the operator.
- The blade must be assembled with the right angle. Erroneous
assembly can cause incorrect tightening, resulting in the
loosening of the blade when working, with dangerous
consequences for the operator. For these reasons the blade
must be balanced and replaced by an Authorised Service
Centre.
8. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Environmental protection should be a priority of considerable
importance when using the machine, for the benefit of both
social cohesion and the environment in which we live.
- Try not to cause any disturbance to the surrounding area.
- Scrupulously comply with local regulations and provisions
for the disposal of waste materials after mowing.
- Scrupulously comply with local regulations and provisions
for the disposal of oils, petrol, batteries, filters, deteriorated
parts or any elements which have a strong impact on the
environment. This waste must not be disposed of as normal
waste, it must be separated and taken to specified waste
disposal centres where the material will be recycled.
Demolition and disposal
When the machine reaches the end of its service life, do not
dispose of it into the environment; instead take it to a waste
disposal centre.
Most materials used in the manufacture of the machine are
recyclable; all metals (steel, aluminium, brass) can be delivered
to a normal recycling station. For information contact your local
waste recycling service. Waste disposal must be carried out
with respect for the environment, avoiding soil, air and water
pollution.
In all cases, applicable local legislation must be complied
with.
When the machine is scrapped also the CE mark label must be
destroyed together with this manual.
9. ACCESSORIES
Towing hitch (supplied as standard with model 13 H and as
an optional for model 12.5 K H)
Required for towing accessories. To fix the towing hitch to the
machine it is necessary to remove the grass-catcher. Then fix
the towing hitch (Fig.22) to the rear plate using the two bolts
(A) and corresponding nuts.
WARNING
- Fix the towing hitch securely to prevent the bolts from
loosening during towing.
- Do not mow grass with towed accessories hitched to the
machine.
