Drill a hole 40 mm in
diameter in the pipe.

Turn the spigot so that
the oblong internal
polarising slot is po-
sitioned opposite the
fluid

Place the spigot on the
pipe so that 2 of the 4
external polarising slots

are aligned ( < 3°) in
the axis of the pipe.

Weld around the entire
circumference of the
spigot.

Drill a hole 45 mm in diam-
eter in the pipe.
→
Thread to G 1 1/2''.
→
Screw on the spigot until
it reaches length L (see
Tab. 7.12) corresponding
to the DN of the pipe so
that the K factors given
in table Tab. 6.20 are re-
spected.
→
Use an appropriate sealing
material (PTFE tape, for
example).
→
When L is reached, slightly
unscrew or continue to
screw until 2 of the 4 po-
larising slots are aligned in
the axis of the pipe and the
oblong internal polarising
slot is positioned opposite
the fluid.
