OPERATION AND FUNCTION
function needs to be deactivated. The following
options are available:
• "OFF": Function deactivated
• "Message": Note on LC display
• "Stop Pumps" Note on LC display and deactiva-
tion of all pumps
Menu 5.4.8.0 / Behaviour on activation of
thermal motor winding monitoring and leakage
detection
The temperature sensors and the moisture probe
must be connected to the corresponding termi-
nals in accordance with the wiring diagram!
The following options are available:
• "Auto Reset": When the winding has cooled down
and/or the leakage has been eliminated, the pump
is automatically restarted
• "Manu Reset": When the pump has cooled down
and/or the leakage has been eliminated, the error
needs to be acknowledged manually so that the
pump restarts.
In the Ex-version of the switchgear (SC-L...-Ex),
a manual reactivation lock is additionally installed
for temperature monitoring, which must be man-
ually reset.
POTENTIALLY fatal danger due to electrical
voltage!
To reset the relay by hand, the cover must be
opened. There is a risk of fatal injury due to
live parts! This work may only be carried out
by a qualified electrician.
Menu 5.4.9.0 / Behaviour when "External OFF"
contact is open
Automatic mode on the switchgear can be acti-
vated and deactivated via the "External OFF" con-
tact using a remote switch (e.g. a float switch).
This enables additional dry-running protection to
be realised for example. This function overrides all
other switching points and all pumps are switched
off. If this function is used, you can stipulate how
signalling should take place in case of an open
contact here:
• "Ext.Off": Automatic mode is deactivated and the
symbol appears on the LC display
• "Alarm": Automatic mode is deactivated and the
symbol appears on the LC display An alarm signal
is also emitted.
Menu 5.5.1.0 / SBM
The required function of the collective run signal
can be set:
• "Ready": Switchgear ready for operation
• "Run": At least one pump is running
Menu 5.5.2.0 / SSM
The required logic of the collective fault signal
can be set:
• "Fall": negative logic (falling edge)
• "Rise": positive logic (rising edge)

Menu 5.6.0.0 / Pump cycling
To prevent irregular standstill times for the indi-
vidual pumps, either general or periodical pump
cycling can take place.
With general pump cycling (menu 5.6.1.0), the
base-load pump is always replaced after all
pumps have been switched off.
With periodical pump cycling (menu 5.6.2.0), the
base-load pump is always changed after a fixed
set time (menu 5.6.3.0).
If running time differences of more than 24 h
occur among the available pumps, the pump with
the least operating hours is used as the base-load
pump until the difference has been compensated.
Menu 5.7.0.0 / pump-kick
To prevent longer standstill times for the
connected pumps, a periodical test run can be
performed (pump kick function).
The time interval after a pump kick should be set
in menu 5.7.2.0.
The running time for the pump kick is set in menu
5.7.3.0.
6.5. Forced switching of the pumps in case of dry
run or high water
6.5.1. High water level
Forced switch-on of the pumps only takes place
if the level measurement occurs via the separate
float switch.
6.5.2. Dry-running level
A forced switch-off of the pumps always occurs,
irrespective of the signal transmitter used.

6.6. Standby pump

It is possible to use one or more pump(s) as a
standby pump. This pump is not activated in
normal operation. It is only activated if a pump
malfunctions due to a fault.
The standby pump is subject to standstill mon-
itoring however and is activated during pump
cycling and pump kick.
This function can be activated or deactivated by
Wilo customer service.

6.7. Operation in case of a fault to the level sensor

If no measured value is detected via the level sen-
sor (e.g. due to a wire break or a defective sensor)
all pumps are deactivated, the fault LED lights up
and the collective fault signal contact is activated.

6.8. Factory settings

The switchgear is pre-set in the factory using
standard settings.
If you wish to reset the switchgear to these
factory settings, please contact Wilo customer
service.
