By removing the decorative strip on the left-hand side
(see fi gure 4) you can gain access to the fuse holders
(fi gure 5).
For replacing the fuses, remove the plug from the device
and check whether the two mains supply fuses are defec-
tive. Replace the fuses if they are defective (two 10-Amp.
delay-action fuses), and re-insert the plug, and if the fuses
are again found defective, please contact your supplier.
Under no circumstances should you install fuses of a rating
higher than 10 Amperes. This may have serious consequen-
ces in case of short circuits.

Take due account of the other equipments / appliances that
are connected to the same group, to ensure that the maxi-
mum power consumption of the group is not exceeded;
please contact your installer for further details.
7. Installing the appliance, clearance around
the appliance
The appliance is designed to be installed permanently in a
new-build chimney breast. There is also the option to install
a decorative fi replace. However, due account must be taken
of the air currents around the appliance (your installer will
fi nd information about this in the Installation Manual). As a
user, you should ensure that no objects are placed in front
of the appliance, particularly the hot air outlet and the cold
air inlet (see fi gure 2).

8. Switching the appliance on and off

The appliance can be switched on or off (see fi gure 3) by
operating the switch at the top left of the appliance
(0 or 1).
Attention: the equipment does not consume any further
current if switched off from here.
It is always recommended that this switch should
be used to switch off the appliance for some time
(at night for example).

9. Installing and removing the glass pane

Only the installer may remove the fi xture moulding and
back plate for service operations! While installing and
removing, ensure that the appliance and the back plate are
not damaged!
Ensure that the heating element is disconnected prior to
removing the pane (see paragraph 13.2).

9.1 Removing the glass pane:

1. Remove the decorative strip on the right hand side of the
appliance (fi gure 6). Remove the decorative strip on the
left hand side in the same way.
CAUTION! The glass pane will become loose as
a result of the removal of the decorative strips.
Hold the pane in place with one hand whilst
performing step 2.
2. Remove the air inlet moulding from the appliance
(fi gure 7).
3. Tilt the glass pane slightly forward (fi gure 8). Lift the
pane carefully out of the appliance (take care to avoid
damage to the construction frame!). Set the glass
pane down in a safe place where it cannot be broken.
