13.3 Discarding the appliance

The packaging materials are largely recyclable, and
therefore do not place these in the domestic waste,
but ensure that they can be recycled.
If you replace or remove the appliance, please dis-
pose of the appliance in the regular manner.
Before dismantling, fi rst disconnect the mains voltage by
disconnecting the mains cable or disconnecting the voltage
supply to the group to which the appliance is connected.
Old appliances contain valuable materials that can be
recycled; for this reason, hand over old appliances to
a suitable collection point.

13.4 Guarantee

The warranty for your DRU appliance will be provided by
your supplier. In case of malfunctions, you should always
contact him. You supplier will contact DRU if he feels this is
necessary. The factory warranty for your appliance is valid for
2 years after date of purchase.

14. Faults

It is highly unlikely that faults will occur, but if faults do oc-
cur, we advise you to contact your supplier.
Possible faults:
The appliance produces a fl ame effect and the fan is
also working, but the appliance does not give off any
hot air.
It is possible that the thermal cut-out has been triggered;
after some time, the cut-out will cool down and heat will
be generated again.
If the cut-out again comes into operation and switches off
the heating element, please contact your supplier.
The appliance does not perform any actions.
Remove the plug from the appliance and check whether the
two mains supply fuses are defective.
Replace the fuses if they are defective (two 10-Amp. delay-
action fuses), and re-insert the plug, and if the fuses are
again found defective, please contact your supplier.
The front fuses are the spare fuses.
If the fuses again become defective, please contact your
supplier.
Under no circumstances should you install fuses of a rating
higher than 10 Amperes. This may have serious consequen-
ces in case of short circuits.
The decorative fi replace no longer responds to the
remote.
It is possible that the batteries of your remote are dischar-
ged; insert new ones, and if the problem continues, please
contact your supplier.
